Description
Extremely violent right-wing neo-nazi, racist group promoting anit-sematic
actions. Founded by Robert Mathews. The follow on group, was
established by Dennis McGiffen, Glenn Lavelle Lowtharp, Wallace Weichending,
Ralph P. Bock, Karld C. Schave and Donala Rick.
Activities
Members have been linked to killings of various outspoken anti-right wing
advocates, Jewish community members, non-white government officials and
various other hate crimes. The founder is killed on Whidbey Island,
Oregon when the FBI tries to capture him. A new leadership reforms the
group shortly thereafter and it continues to thrive. David Tate murders
one and injures another patrolman on a routine traffic stop. Tate
is captured a week later and is eventually sentenced to life in prison.
The New Order was survielled by the FBI and according to the investigators,
intercepted in the last stages of planning and just prior to executing
an operation to rob an armored car in St. Louis, kill the founder of the
Southern Poverty Law Center, poison a resevoir as a diversion to robbing
a bank, robbing and killing a wealthy homsexual, kill an outspoken critic
of another white supremicist group (the Aryan Nation), bomb the Simon D.
Weisenthal Center, kill a black radio talk show host, attach the New York
office of hte B'nai B'rrith Jewish social service and other attacks.
