Taken from various sources used in compiling the MILNET orginal report Domestic Terror - What It Holds For The New Millennium .
It has been pointed out that there are a number of ethnic groups in
the
U.S.
who advocate violence with a long history of such groups in somewhat
recent history -- for example the Blank Panthers. While MILNET
acknowledges the
possibilities of existence, our research has primarily ignored these
groups.
However, if you live in Los Angeles, you might find it hard to ignore
the
activities of some of the "South of the Border" activists who have
turned
violent, and there is some credence to the idea that many gangs at
times
appear to be domestic terrorists. Recently the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security worked with local law enforcement throught the U.S.
to apprehend members of one of these groups nationwide. MILNET's
report, Hispanic Gangs
covers the increasing number of illegal aliens found in these street
gangs and the connection to U.S. prisons and foreign criminals.
