A medium range weapon originally developed in the 1950s, has undegone numerous upgrades to improve its range and decrease susceptability to jamming. The Imporved Hawk was intended to be replaced entirely by Patriot, but a re-think as resulted in the fitting of the Hawk into a multi-tiered system that uses the Patriot for longer range defense allowing the Hawk to continue to protect against closer in targets.
