Pakistan lies along the northern border of India. The two countries have been divided over their religious ideals since their mutual independce from Britain. The SIKH clans (cults?) of Pakistan have taken credit or blamed for most of all the terrorist activities in India over the last twenty years, and in the late 1990s their activities have increased to near epedimic proportions.
The Pakistani have purchased numerous Soviet supplied weaponry to ensure no one crosses the border from India, and are one of the countries being watched for nuclear weapons research as is their neighbor to the South.
