Causeway from Bahrain to Al Khubar, Saudi Arabia
In 1994, there were more than 200 kilometers of paved roads in Bahrain and a twenty-five kilometer causeway connected the country to Saudi Arabia.
Bahrain's two major ports are Mina Salman and Sitrah and has a merchant marine of 6 ships (1000 GRT or over).
The country has only two airports with permanent-surface runways; the primary airport is Bahrain International.
