Overview

The final pillar of USCENTCOM's theater strategy is Readiness to Fight. It stresses activities that ensure that the Central Command Headquarters and individual component commands possess standard operating procedures that aid in rapid deployment during crises, in conducting synchronized joint and combined operations, and waging high tempo warfare. Programs include war fighting conferences, commitment to professional military education, and the incorporation of individual mobilization augmentees from USCENTCOM's reserve components into operations. Ultimately, the credibility of USCENTCOM's deterrence and the successful prosecution of its war plans rests on its readiness to fight.

Objectives, Activities

USCENTCOM's Readiness to Fight objectives and those activities necessary to achieve them are as follows:

Objectives:

• Capable of rapid deployment during a crisis
