Terrorism has become such a worldwide criminal activity, that we now have recognized legal definitions for terrorism. The major milestone in recognition of terrorism as a crime occurred at the Bonn Summit in 1978.
Anti-Terrorist group are thought to exist in most countries where terrorism has a high potential for occurring. Groups are usually under the auspices of the government national level law enforcement or military control. For instance there is the British SAS or the U.S.'s FBI Counter-Terrorist Directorate. You will note that we do not have a listing for these groups in the Internet WWW version of the MILNET database. This is due to lack of current information, as well as a desire to prevent ourselves from speculating or presenting unfounded information would could inadvertantly harm these efforts.
