Junk Science: Worldwide Problem,  3/27/2005

Originally, I was going to entitle this "America the Stupid", but realized that while the U.S. has fostered the problem, it is by no means the only contributors.  Europe, Latin America, Africa, the world is under attack from fraudulent environmentalists armed with junk science.

The problem is American born activism of the 60s which has grown to a worldwide industry in futility and stupidity.  Would be saviors of the earth have been trained -- yes trained -- to ignore established statistical study norms, subverted scientific method, and have invoked huge fraudulent efforts at frightening fellow hand wringers the world over.

What is even more disgusting, is that people the world over have let these nutcases take over.

The reason for my diatribe is simple.  The developing countries in our world are in deep, deep trouble.  Decades of trying to emerge from poverty and governmental greed, not to mention famine, very poor living conditions and disease, have left many nations near the end of their ability to exist. Governments pleading to the world community for help, especially those truly trying to make amends for their previous administration's abuses and theft, are faced with asinine activists who want everyone to go back to cave dwelling.

No power generation, no shelters, no meat for food, no carving out a clearing to build a dwelling.  If one activist group wants no cars, the other says using horses is far too cruel to the poor animals.

Even the weak minded hand wringer is faced with tough decisions in this regard.  Can't have nuclear power, but coal is so dirty!  And there's that concern (bogus of course) over mercury emissions.  And wood burning! Forget that.

Our wild-eyed forest dwellers are now making policy and killing needed improvements in third world countries that have no choices.  Killing power generation projects that will put electricity in homes where kids are studying by candlelight in the 21st century.  All based on junk science and arrogant "We love our planet" nutcase activism that claims to be eco-responsible.  Eco-stupid is more like it.

It is time that rational minds end this fruitcake bake sale.  It is okay to question what we do to our planet, and it is fine to study power plant emissions, pollution creators and the like.  It is also fine to worry about alternatives.

But we need to enforce a standard of scientific study that does not continue to perpetuate fraud upon those unable to discern junk science from the real.  In fact, legislation to require public information to be required upon rigid scientific standards and draconian penalties for falsehoods seems like a great way to end this parody of science that appears to have become a worldwide industry.

It's okay to ask the questions and do the science to prove your point.  But damnit, you'd better do real science out there activists, or you are going to pay for it in the pocketbook and jail time if you are basing your wild eyed claims on fraudulent data or studies.  Get the message!  No more junk science and no more scare mongering that kills any chances third world countries have to emerge from YOUR enforced throwback to cave dwellings.

Just to name a few...Do a Google search on just about any environmental issue and read carefully the so called science behind their claims...it's appalling!!!
