| The U.N. Useless |
Sep 2004 |
Only in the idealist's unreal world is the U.N.
an effective organizations. To the realist, it is less than
useless. But try to propose an alternative. |
| Classic Russian Pattern |
Dec 2004 |

President Vladmir Putin will remind you of the former Soviet Union. Are
Putin's acts against the democracy of Russia leading back to those evil
days? |
| No One Asked Us |
Sep 2004 |
Stan Coerr's excellent piece - No one
asked the Iraqi soldiers what they thought of the Iraq situation, why
its important or why they put their lives on the line. Well, no
more, Stan gives it to us with gusto. This, by the way, is one of
our all time top two articles on MILNET. |
| Iranian Death March |
Sep 2004 |
Iran continues to march along a path that will
lead to its government's destruction. Civilized nations concerned
with the duty to protect its citizens from WMD will eventually tire of
diplomatic gestures and blow the WMD plants to hell and gone, and then
turn to look at the government that created the threat in the first
place. That government will not, can not, survive. |
| The Terrorist Bomb |
Sep 2004 |
With the United Nations doing it's usual job of helping
their deception, Iran has brazenly declared to the world their ultimate
machismo. It is clear the next sound we will hear from them is
"Boom". Big bada boom. And we aren't talking about the Sopranos
either. |
| Axis Closes Ranks |
Feb 2005 |
Not too unexpectedly, the Axis of Evil is closing ranks. Today, Syria and Iran announced the beginnings of a new alliance to "build a common front". |
| Laws, Regulations, and Rules |
Jan 2005 |
"In 1995, the Justice Department embraced flawed legal reasoning,
imposing a series of restrictions on the FBI that went beyond what the
law required. The 1995 Guidelines and the procedures developed around
them imposed draconian barriers to communications between the law
enforcement and intelligence communities. The wall "effectively
excluded" prosecutors from intelligence investigations. The wall left
intelligence agents afraid to talk with criminal prosecutors or agents.
In 1995, the Justice Department designed a system destined to fail." - John Ashcroft, U.S. Attorney General. |
| Hillary Dillary |
Dec 2004 |
Hillary dillary dock, the Senator ran out the clock. With little
time to dither, she's got the Republicans in a lather, the next Demo to
blather. |
| Defective Liberal Logic Disease |
Oct 2004 |
There remains in this country, a disease of the mind that
continues to pump out not only fictional historical events to support
their position but an exceeding proclivity to spout forth with logic
that defies intelligence. The disease is DLLD. |
| Iran Joins the Cast of Irrational |
Jul 2004 |
In what can only be described as bizarre, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the top religious leader of the government in Iraq says he believes the U.S. and Israel are conducting kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq. Joining the irrational leaders of North Korea who accuse the U.S. of making up the facts surrounding the nuclear crisis in that country in order to take North Korea to war, the Iranian religious leader seems to gone off the deep edge. |

Brief Description |
| Iran Nuclear Goals Seem Clear |
Jun 2004 |
While North Korea rattles the nuclear saber overtly and some relish,
Iran's nuclear program is hidden under a more classic Middle Eastern
facade of peaceful intentions. Yet, like North Korea, their
friends in Russia seem to be helping them build a second nuclear
reactor, as if this energy rich country needs yet another nuclear power
plant.. |
| The Underplayed Crisis |
Sep 2004 |
The real problem nuclear proliferation is one of time. By the time we hear of nuclear proliferation problems, the cause for that concern can only have grown worse, not better. And in most cases, our information is so old we don't realize the REAL danger. Iran is the classic case. Focus on nuclear plants that have certain capacities is certainly troubling. However, in some cases, that is not the correct focus. In the Iranian case, direct production of highly enriched uranium, that stuff that bombs are made of, could very well be part of the Iranian shell game. |
| The Iranian Nuclear Threat |
Aug 2004 |
MILNET Guest Writer Shalom Freedman lays out the
Iranian hatred for Israel, the focus on a tenfold increase in its
effective military power, and how that nuclear program has at least two
targets, Israel and the U.S. (Little Satan and Big Satan). |
