Richelson calls the results of the analysis of intelligence
"...the finished intelligence product..."
and that this product
"...might be a simple statement of facts, an estimate of the capabilities of another nation's military forces, or a projection of the likely course of political events..." 1
In the U.S. the finished product is found in reports from on of the many intelligence agencies in the U.S., or more likely, in a report from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the agency which is responsible for analysis of all other agencies data. Such reports may be on one particular subject of interest, and may have been suggested by the "consumers" or users of the end product.
The CIA is the responsible agency for drafting the deliverable requested by the National Security Council called a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE).
