MILNET: The Bonn Summit
During the Bonn Summit(1) in 1978, a number of countries agreed to sanctions against countries
which aid or abet hijackings. This meeting led to the worldwide cooperation in handling
hijackings that essentially reduced hijackings to an insignificant number by 1990. Signatories were:
